Responsibilities- Perform various field and office tasks requiring the application of standard geological and environmental science principles and theories
- Conduct soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental sampling
- Soil classification and sampling during drilling, test pitting, and excavation activities
- Supervise drillers and other subcontractors
- Execute field projects with health and safety as the top priority
- Complete field documentation such as activity hazard analysis (AHA) forms, project field reports, field notes, sampling records, and chain‑of‑custody forms
- Assist in geologic and environmental analyses and interpretation, which may include hydrogeology and/or geochemistry
- Analyze and interpret environmental sample analysis results within the context of the geological setting
- Prepare figures of environmental data, potentiometric surface maps, geologic maps, and cross sections
- Develop materials and assist in completing reports on finished field work
- May provide technical guidance to lower‑level geologists or environmental scientists
- Work with project managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills, to ensure projects are completed on time and budget
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related field and typically 3+ years of related work experience
- A familiarity with related environmental rules and regulations is preferred
- This work requires some physical exertion such as extended periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities
- Work in adverse weather conditions (e.g., hot, cold, rain, snow)
- Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills
- Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self‑sufficiently in the field or as part of a team

Salary Range: $45,500.00 - $79,600.00
Fit for Duty exam is required. Successful completion of this exam(s) will be required prior to you being able to continue in the hiring process and onboarding.
