Salary: $128,580 - $163,820 potential compensation. Base annual salary $106,418 - $135,905. Education pay (up to 7.5%), Holiday pay 7.01%, Bilingual pay 5%, Annual uniform pay $1,400.

• Meet P.O.S.T. medical standards for a peace officer and be free from physical conditions that might affect performance
• Pass P.O.S.T. background investigation including polygraph, DOJ and FBI checks and firearms clearance
• Pass post-offer psychological evaluation and medical examination, including drug test
• Possess and maintain a valid California driver license
• Proficient in typical police weaponry
• Pass all required department and P.O.S.T. training
• CPR and First Aid within six months of hire
• Residency within 45 minutes normal driving time from Gilroy Police Station within 18 months
