WHAT YOU'LL DOAs an Operator located in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) you will proactively support multiple clients in diverse locations through the use of best-in-class technology for emergency and non-emergency security operations, incoming call triage, event dispatching, and event-driven notification services 24/7. In emergency situations, the Hive Watch GSOC directs and coordinates assistance and support for its clients by providing technical and advisory support for essential operational services;
escalating identified security events; and serving as the central communication intake point for management, control, and reduction of immediate threats to health and safety.
- Represent and display the Hive Watch core principles of customer service and professionalism
- Utilize multiple software platforms to answer routine and emergency calls, monitor access control alerts and video feeds, access open source threat intelligence, and information from mass-communication tools. Dispatch/notify security officers, maintenance, and liaise with emergency 911 centers
- Prioritize and make decisions under stress
- Maintain various records of communications and events in a concise manner
- Work collaboratively with Hive Watch’s and clients’ leadership teams to prepare for, respond to, and recover from incidents and crisis events that may impact customers, personnel, property, operations, or brand
- Communicate and disseminate information to key partners using established channels and best practices
- Contribute to position-related projects and help evaluate and improve operations and systems
- Maintain composure during critical incidents and emergencies
- Comply with all Hive Watch rules and guidelines, including safety rules and confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across platforms (email, Slack, phone, etc.)
- Ability to generate concise reports from verbal or written sources
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a communications or operations center or related role
- Willingness to learn unfamiliar technical systems
- Availability for overnight shift work
- Strong customer service/interpersonal skills, especially during crises
- Reliable means of communication (email, cell phone)
- Reliable means of transportation (public or private)
- Willingness to sign and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen upon conditional offer
- Sitting or standing for extended periods
- No personal belongings allowed on shift; secure onsite storage provided
- Significant computer and screen usage
- Hourly pay range: $23/hr to $29/hr
- Eligible to participate in Hive Watch Equity Incentive Plan
- 100% onsite role
