Summary

TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full‑time experienced Diesel Mechanic to help build our branch location. The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other equipment. They will follow all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles and must follow all safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Trade school diploma preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Supply your own tools with an up‑to‑date tool inventory (we have a variety of specialty tools in the shop)
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on trucks, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment
  • Document all maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment and file records properly
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits (a plus)
  • Work some evenings and weekends at the shop
  • Communicate safety issues verbally to customers and co‑workers on location before and during job tasks
  • Report to supervisor and/or lead mechanic on completion of assigned job tasks for next assignment
  • Perform hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical crane troubleshooting
  • Other duties as assigned
