Join IHI Power Services Corp. as an Operations & Maintenance Technician I, Fuels, supporting equipment operation and maintenance at the PUCS Power Plant in Jamestown, CA.

$29.78 to $36.10 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Responsible for fuels management, equipment operation, and maintenance at PUCS Power Plant.

• Start-up, shutdown, and secure assigned equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical operations.
• Inspect machinery for malfunctions.
• Maintain logs and record operating conditions.
• Identify hazardous conditions and notify supervisor.
• Monitor readings from controls (temperature, pressure, speed, flow).
• Assist fuel system maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
• Assist in scheduled and forced outage maintenance.
• Supervise contractors performing facility work.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies.
• Maintain logs of problems, repairs, and downtime.
• Participate in committees and task forces.
• Support preventive maintenance and spare parts inventory.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pre‑employment test battery and drug testing required.
• Physical demands of the position.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.

• Basic math, verbal communication, and power tool proficiency.
• Cooperative, self‑directed work ability.
• Safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Responsive to audio alarms.
• Basic data entry/computer skills.
• Teamwork skills.

• Hard hats, safety glasses, masks, ear protection required.
• 10‑hour shifts with weekend and holiday work; on‑call status may be required.
• Indoor and outdoor work.

• Work on feet for extended periods; lift 50 lbs.
• Operate in elevated areas, confined spaces, extreme heat and cold.
