Equipment Operator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment. You will work closely with the project team, following project specifications, to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment, such as backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.

Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to effectively complete assigned tasks.

Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment.

Safely transport and maneuver equipment to and from worksites.

Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Operate equipment in a manner that minimizes damage to materials, structures, and surrounding areas.

Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate work schedules and tasks.

Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of projects.

Adhere to company policies and procedures, including reporting any accidents, incidents, or damages immediately.

Participate in training programs and continuing education to enhance skills and stay updated on the latest equipment operation techniques.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Equipment Operator or similar role.

Valid Class A CDL driver's license and clean driving record.

Strong knowledge of operating heavy equipment, including backhoes, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.

Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and safety.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances on the worksite.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical stamina and ability to work long hours, in varying weather conditions, and lift heavy objects when necessary.
