Overview

Del Oro Water Company is seeking a full-time Entry-Level WATER UTILITY METER READER for the BUTTE COUNTY (PARADISE/MAGALIA), CA area. Del Oro Water will train the ideal candidate in the following:

• Water meter reading, installation, and maintenance
• Repairing leaks in service lines, mainlines, valves, and hydrants
• Maintaining buildings and grounds
• Operating a variety of manual and power tools, including light to heavy equipment, performing related work as required
• Be willing and able to perform heavy, manual labor in ALL weather conditions
• Be able to work independently
• Live in or be willing to relocate within 15 minutes travel time to the Paradise/Magalia, CA area
• Be willing and able to work on-call/standby hours, weekends and long hours may be required
• Pass a physical and a drug test

Water Utility Field Technician is considered a “first responder” during emergency conditions; candidates must live within twenty (15) minutes travel time of Districts Operations.

• This is a full-time position with competitive starting salary depending on qualifications
