Exterior Carpenter

Lakeside Renovation & Design is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced remodeling carpenter. The role requires a base knowledge of residential construction and broad experience using industry-standard construction tools and materials. The candidate must manage day-to-day customer expectations, keep a safe and clean job site, and lead a team of 1 to 3 additional carpenters.

• Follow daily communication from Lead Carpenter regarding job specific tasks and instructions.
• Complete assigned tasks each day and communicate results to Lead Carpenter.
• Construct outdoor living structures with wood framing such as screen rooms, porch overhangs, and decks.
• Experience with composite decking and aluminum/composite rail systems (preferred).
• Install exterior finish materials such as Boral, James Hardie, vinyl (preferred).
• Show willingness to learn and grow in carpentry ability and product installation.
• Show willingness to train and supervise laborers and apprentices.
• Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by architects and building code requirements (preferred).
• Use proper materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Additional duties not listed may be assigned.

• 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift job site equipment.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• Ability to perform heavy labor.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check (or have a proper medical card).
• Willingness to commute to jobs within the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
