At this time, we are looking for an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join our Amer Cable Maintenance Team. This team is committed to the maintenance of the facilities and operations.

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, heat exchangers, and refrigeration equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently
• Conduct inspections of HVAC systems and their components (e.g., evaporators, condensers, compressors, and motors) to ensure they are in proper working order
• Calibrate and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and other control systems
• Ensure HVAC systems comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Maintain compliance requirement documentation
• Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies and industry best practices
• Support other Plant Engineering department activities

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment
• HVAC/R license
• Must be able to obtain state boiler license
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Required to work at heights above ground level
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Must be able to physically move material, possibly up to 50lbs
