SummaryWorks under general supervision of the Foreman and is responsible for assuring the proper, safe, efficient, and timely completion of landscape installation projects.
Qualifications- Language
Skills:
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus. - Mathematical
Skills:
Basic to intermediate math. - Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, adjust to changing priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with attention to detail. - Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Valid driver’s license.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, materials, take‑offs, builds, and controller charts.
- Layout, install, and test piping and control wiring systems.
- Install landscape paths, fences, courtyards, and structures.
- Install, test, maintain, and repair automated, mechanical, electrical controls.
- Install and test metallic and non‑metallic pipes or tubing, including fittings, valves, pumps, etc.
- Install, test, maintain, and repair gas removal systems.
- Green build water‑efficient design, plantings, and irrigation.
- Operate, care for, and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment related to the trade.
- Handle, distribute, store, and deliver materials and equipment.
- Soil amendments, testing, treatment, and compaction.
- Layout, install, and establish plants, trees, shrubs, ground covers, turf, plant identification, etc.
- Apply job safety, rigging, and moving loads procedures.
- No supervisory responsibilities; other duties as assigned.
- Constant communication: talk, hear, see; sit, stand, walk.
- Vision requirements: close, distant, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
- Use of hands to manipulate tools and controls.
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull materials and equipment.
- Extended periods standing, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting.
