, you’ll operate electrically‑powered, diesel, or rubber‑tire cranes consisting of an operator’s cab and a movable hoist mechanism mounted on a bridge to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk material, using hoisting attachments.

• Operate a gantry crane or whirly crane
• Operate a cab‑operated overhead crane
• Operate a steel yard overhead crane
• Move and lift more than 20 tons
• May perform as a rigger for gantry cranes
• Operate a mobile crane (move across yard)
• Responsible for daily inspection, assigned maintenance, and safe operation of assigned crane
• Ensure crane is properly secured (tied‑off) at the end of each shift
• Support other departments and/or machine operators as needed
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Crane Operator
• Ability to move and lift more than 20 tons
• Work requires the ability to read and write in order to complete standard records
• Knowledge and experience in operating controls, rigging principles, hand signals, and safe lifting procedures
• Crane certification
• Must have the ability to operate crane and lift loads in a safe and non‑hazardous manner to ensure the safety of the operator and all other employees in the area
