Overview

This is a HVAC/R Technician role with Nextech, a leading HVAC/R service provider. You will deliver reliable, high-quality service to commercial clients, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components
  • Perform maintenance and emergency service as needed, including after-hours on-call rotations
  • Accurately document all service details using company-provided iPads
  • Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards
  • Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery
  • Identify additional service opportunities and share them with customers

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician
  • EPA certification and a valid driver’s license
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans
  • Basic comfort with mobile apps and technology
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed

This is a physically active role. You should be able to:

  • Safely work at heights using ladders up to 28-32 feet and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limits
  • Lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment, including extension ladders, up to 100 lbs
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks
  • Maintain physical stamina and endurance for repetitive tasks and extended activity
  • Stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the day
  • Use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously
  • Operate iPads, cell phones, and computers
  • Travel to customer sites as needed
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures
