Position: TRAFFIC TECHNCIAN
Location: Bragg City

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Traffic Technician to join our team. This role involves the maintenance, repair, and installation of traffic signals, street lights, and intelligent transportation system (ITS) facilities. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and managing both physical and mental demands. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team.

Normal Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.;
This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or a lawfully authorized alien worker.
  • High School graduate or GED certificate and two years of applicable experience.
  • Completion of a formal post-secondary technical training program in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Communications Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution; or a minimum of 400 contact hours from a technical certification program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • IMSA Signal Traffic Field Technician Level I, or ability to obtain within 18 months.
  • IMSA Work Zone Temporary Traffic Control Technician Certification, or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Class B or above CDL valid in the state of Missouri, or ability to obtain within 120 days of employment. A commercial driver's instruction permit (CDIP) must be obtained within 60 days.
  • Working knowledge of hazards involved and safety precautions necessary for operating specialized light equipment.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Cannot be colorblind.
