Electrician Apprentice

Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated Electrical Apprentices to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates with electrical, construction, manufacturing, maintenance, or mechanical experience who are looking to build a long-term career in the electrical trade.

The Electrical Apprentice will support electricians and project teams with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems while developing technical skills through hands-on field experience. Successful candidates are safety-focused, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with installation of electrical systems, equipment, and components
* Install and support conduit, cable tray, supports, and raceway systems
* Pull wire and cable through conduit and cable tray systems
* Assist with rough-in, trim-out, and device installation activities
* Support electrical troubleshooting and testing efforts
* Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and specifications
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely
* Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
* Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements
* Work closely with electricians, supervisors, and project teams to complete work efficiently and safely
* Support installation of low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, controls, and related electrical equipment as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Electrical apprenticeship, trade school, or relevant electrical coursework preferred
* Experience working in electrical construction, commercial construction, industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, maintenance, or related trades
* Basic knowledge of electrical theory and electrical code principles
* Experience with conduit installation or conduit bending preferred
* Experience pulling wire, installing devices, or assisting with electrical installations preferred
* Ability to read a tape measure and use hand and power tools
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Certifications:

One or more of the following is preferred:

* OSHA 10
* OSHA 30
* Electrical Apprenticeship Enrollment
* Trade School Certification

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift and carry materials and tools
* Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments
* Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
* Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
