HVAC Technical Support Specialist

Location: Township of Columbia

Crescent Parts & Equipment is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll provide expert HVAC technical support to customers and employees, helping troubleshoot installation, startup, operational, and service-related issues across a variety of equipment and applications.

What You'll DoProvide HVAC technical support to customers and employees via phone, email, and virtual communication.

Troubleshoot installation, startup, operational, refrigeration, electrical, airflow, and controls-related issues.

Serve as a technical resource for assigned HVAC and specialty product lines.

Collaborate with contractors, technicians, manufacturers, Field Service Representatives, and internal teams to resolve technical concerns.

Support warranty-related technical issues and coordinate manufacturer escalations when needed.

Communicate product updates, service bulletins, and technical information to customers and employees.

Investigate equipment performance concerns and assist with issue resolution.

Develop and deliver technical training for employees and customers.

Maintain current knowledge of HVAC technologies, controls, refrigerants, and industry developments.

Provide on-site technical assistance when remote troubleshooting is not sufficient.

Required5+ years of HVAC service, installation, technical support, or related industry experience.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, controls, airflow, heating, cooling, and equipment startup.

Ability to diagnose and resolve installation, operational, and service-related equipment issues.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation instructions, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.

Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and employees with varying levels of experience.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with a team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Experience with mini-splits, PTACs, commercial HVAC equipment, or other specialty product lines.

HVACR certification, technical training, or advanced industry education.

Experience providing technical training or customer support.

Travel Requirements This position is primarily office-based but may require occasional travel to customer facilities, job sites, training events, and manufacturer meetings. Some visits may involve mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other field environments. Occasional evening or weekend activities may be required.
