Pay: $23-$26 an hour

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Surface Heavy Equipment Operator at Breit Quarry in Savannah, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant. This position will travel around to the local quarries in the area.

Essential Functions Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture

Inspect equipment for signs of wear Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment

Work in a team environment

Clean work areas

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

Proper wear of personal protective equipment

Notify supervisors of repairs needed

Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements

Assist in plant maintenance and repairs

Perform duties with minimum supervision

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.

Preferred

Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a valid driver's license

Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred1 + years related experience

Valid US driver's license

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Knowledge of MSHA regulations

Effective verbal communication

Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
