Job Summary
Assists Parent Involvement coordinator in the planning of the Parent Involvement Volunteer Services action plan:
Assists in recruiting, orienting and encouraging parents to participate in the Head Start Program;
Assists in making arrangements for parent meetings,training workshops and special activities. This is an on-site position. It is not a remote position. Will primarily work in an office setting and in the field and will require driving/travel.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Two years (2) experience working with community services.
- Ability to work with an ethnically and linguistically diverse population.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good record-keeping skills.
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to give and take simple instructions and attend to the needs of others.
- English and Spanish fluency REQUIRED, (both oral and written skills).
- Must complete AB 1207 California Childcare Providers:
Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days of hire, renewed every two (2) years. - Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
- Must provide vaccination records for Pertussis (Tdap), Measles (MMR) and Influenza (optional).
- Will be finger printed and must clear through DOJ and FBI.
- Must possess own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License and at minimum, general liability automobile insurance.
- Hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Personal Time Off(PTO) - Vacation/personal days or sick time).
- Paid Sick Time – 48hours
- Paid Holidays per Calendar Year - 12 paid holidays.
