Saturday & Sunday 12:00pm-12:00am, Monday & Tuesday 3:30pm-11:30pm.
As an Admissions Counselor, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking help, offering a calm and compassionate voice during moments of need. You'll help guide callers through the admissions process, schedule assessments, and ensure referrals are routed to the appropriate services within our hospital. This is a great opportunity for someone who excels in communication, can stay grounded in high‑pressure situations, and has a heart for helping others access behavioral health services.
This evening shift role is ideal for someone who values purposeful work and thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment.
- Answer incoming calls and provide helpful, accurate information about hospital programs
- Schedule assessments and coordinate referrals with clinical staff and outside agencies
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members
- Maintain knowledge of hospital programs and admissions procedures
- Support quality improvement and uphold patient confidentiality at all times
- Stay current with required training and continuing education, including CALM and CPR certifications
- High School/GED required
- Associates/Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred
- Work Experience:
Experience in an office setting preferred
- Must be able to perform essential job functions such as bending, lifting and transporting patients
- Communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally under pressure
- Are empathetic and patient‑focused, even in stressful situations
- Understand the importance of timely, accurate coordination in behavioral health care
- Can stay organized and focused while managing a variety of tasks
