Overview

Brandes Associates Inc., a Defense contractor, is seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer with 3+ years of Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline experience who will architect, develop, and maintain mission-critical systems while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. You will work within a SAFe/Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions for a Department of Defense (DoD) program at Naval Base Point Mugu near Camarillo, CA.

The typical annual salary range for this position is $ USD to $ USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

• Provide support for the analysis, recommendation, design and prototype of future software, system components, and digital products and data systems for use with current and emerging technologies

• Provide technical documentation support for the development and management of technical documentation

• Architect complex microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
  
  Write high-performance, production-ready code in Java, and Type Script that meets security and performance requirements
• Develop responsive front-end applications using React
  
  JS/Redux, NPM, and Material UI with a focus on performance and reusability
• Implement RESTful web services and APIs following industry best practices and Governance for authentication, error handling, and documentation
• Utilize Web Sockets for real-time communication in collaborative applications and dashboards
• Configure and manage message queuing systems like Rabbit
  
  MQ (AMQP) for asynchronous processing and system integration
• Leverage Java ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate for efficient database operations and entity management
• Implement automated testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system quality
• Manage version control workflows in Git, implementing branching strategies and ensuring proper code management
• Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes deployment issues across the full stack, from front-end to database
• Perform code reviews on Pull Requests and technical mentoring for junior developers, focusing on best practices and clean code principles
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation in Confluence for system architecture and code standards
• Manage project tasking and user stories in JIRA, maintaining transparency on progress and impediments
• Participate in our Agile ceremonies including the SAFe Program Increment planning meetings to align team objectives with organizational goals
• Contribute to architectural decision records documenting system design choices and technical direction

• 10+ years of experience in software development with emphasis on full-stack solutions
• 3+ years  experience with CI/CD pipelines in an agile Dev Ops environment
• 3+ years  experience with Java, JavaScript, containers, and microservices architecture
• 3+ years  experience with SQL and database design
• 2+ years  experience with HTML and CSS
• 2+ years  experience with Git version control
• Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent tools
• Experience working in Agile environments and as a Scrum team member
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of interaction
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

BS or BA degree in a computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:
An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor s degree (6+3=9 years), or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree (10+3=13 years).

• Must have a Top Secret Security Clearance
