Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

In this role, you’ll design and implement scalable test automation frameworks that ensure the integrity and quality of our streaming platform across devices and environments. Your work will directly impact how audiences enjoy uninterrupted entertainment worldwide.

• Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks for APIs, user interfaces, and video playback systems.
• Ensure seamless streaming experiences by validating workflows across web, mobile, smart TVs, and OTT (Over-the-top) platforms.
• Develop automated tests for adaptive bitrate streaming, playback performance metrics, and buffering scenarios.
• Create innovative testing solutions tailored for smart TV and OTT device environments.
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery.
• Craft detailed, well-structured test plans and cases that drive clarity and coverage.
• Partner with development and QA teams to achieve comprehensive and reliable test coverage.
• Engage in code reviews, providing insights to enhance testability and design quality.
• Promote and uphold best practices in quality engineering across all development efforts.
• Guide and mentor QA engineers on effective automation strategies and industry-leading practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in test automation (media or streaming experience preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions), and build systems.
• Excellent debugging, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to OTT platforms or smart TV development.
• Knowledge of streaming protocols (HLS, DASH).
