Software Engineer Python Cloud Services Space Operations Satellite Telemetry

As a Space Operations Software Engineer at Spire, you will join a small, agile team to enhance the efficiency of our satellite fleet. You'll develop systems and tools for visualizing and analyzing satellite telemetry, monitoring ground station and satellite status, controlling satellite operations, and implementing automatic fault detection, isolation, and recovery.

• Build applications for visualizing and analyzing satellite telemetry
• Build applications for monitoring ground station and satellite status and control satellite operations.
• Develop software to provide automatic fault detection, isolation, and recovery operations for the spacecraft.

• 5+ years of experience with system and web application development using Python.
• Familiarity with data backends like S3, RDS, Postgres, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Django.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Python data visualization libraries.
• Experience with Typescript and React.
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerting systems using systems like Grafana, Prometheus, or Nagios.
