Role Overview We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join an established five-person full-stack development team. This position supports one of the core R&D software teams, focusing on both front-end and back-end applications to build innovative new products. The successful candidate will design, deploy, and support IoT-based solutions while assisting with critical system migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop desktop applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs.Work within a Linux environment to deploy software via containers such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Collaborate with the team to identify and implement core functionalities for new products.

Execute migration and porting work from Windows to Linux-based solutions under the direction of senior engineering staff.

Handle hands-on development tasks efficiently while navigating project ambiguity.

Required Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

Experience:

Five or more years of software development and design experience, with a solid understanding of scalable, distributed software solutions and a proven track record of launching customer-facing products.

Technical

Skills:

Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with a preference for C# (Java or C++ is acceptable).

Experience with cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure (AWS or GCP experience is translatable).Solid development experience within a Linux environment.

Familiarity with containerization technologies, specifically Docker or Kubernetes.

Understanding of RESTful APIs, SQL, and database concepts.

Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architectures.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in an embedded systems or IoT context, particularly with software that interacts with physical sensors.

Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Claude, or similar agents.

Experience with front-end technologies like Type Script or JavaScript.

Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Git, Visual Studio, and various UX prototyping or diagramming tools.

Experience in the automotive service equipment industry.
