Job Description
ATHLETIC COACHREPORTS TO:
Athletic Director
JOB GOAL:
To effectively manage/operate/coach.
Specific Duties:
- Responsible for the sound operation and supervision of the activity they sponsor.
- Provide mature leadership and guidance to the students.
- Responsible for interpreting the philosophy of the extracurricular program to the members of the activity.
- Responsible for maintaining behavior of members at activity meetings, practices, or events.
- Make appropriate recommendations regarding good conduct at activity functions.
- Maintain a cooperative spirit with other members of the faculty.
- Inform parents of schedules prior to season.
- Do not schedule weekend practices without prior approval of Principals.
- Pre‑approve all purchases and transportation requests at least two weeks in advance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Yearly based on activity/club/sport. Salary to be arranged by the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance based evaluation annually by Building Principal in accordance with Board of Education Regulations.
