Overview

Ladera Oaks is a private member-owned swim, tennis and fitness club nestled on four creek-side acres in the beautiful Portola Valley foothills. The Club offers high quality recreation and competitive training programs in a relaxed friendly family atmosphere.

Lifeguard

Job Description:

• Supervises swimming activities at our two pools.
• Ensures that all policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
• Opens and closes the pool each day according to scheduled hours
• Assists in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment. This includes towel service, keeping the pool deck and locker rooms tidy, wiping tables and opening umbrellas, etc.
• Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
• Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates aquatics emergency action plan as required.
• Provides excellent customer service daily including welcoming members as they arrive.
• Assists with club and member parties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned throughout the club to ensure smooth daily club operations.
