The Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) is responsible for developing and implementing physical training programs designed to enhance athletic performance and physical fitness, with an emphasis on developing strength, conditioning, and injury prevention strategies.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute training programs to improve strength, endurance, and overall fitness of clients or athletes.
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ performance and progress, providing necessary adjustments to training plans.
- Educate clients on effective exercise techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of training sessions and client progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant SCC experience (waivers possible for veterans, military spouses, or specific internship/assistant experience).
- Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- US Citizenship.

This position may not typically include supervisory roles but involves directing individual or group training sessions.
Work Environment and ConditionsTraining conducted in diverse environmental conditions, including outdoor settings with varying climates. Ability to work in spaces with potential exposure to noise and movement-related hazards.
Physical DemandsMust be capable of lifting weights up to 45 pounds and performing physical activities under various weather conditions.
Professional Development$500/year for professional development. Up to $2,000 in relocation reimbursement. Pay Rate: $28.70/hr.
