Lake Tahoe Community College is looking for two highly motivated, energetic Head Soccer Coaches (Women’s and Men’s).
The Head Soccer Coach provides leadership that supports student-athlete success, competitive excellence, and compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and policies of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA), the Golden Valley Conference (GVC), and the Lake Tahoe Community College District (LTCC).
These two positions have year-round responsibilities including in-season competitions, off-season training, recruitment periods, and other duties required to support a successful soccer program.
Adjunct instructors are categorized as part-time, contracted faculty teaching assigned courses on a quarter basis. Part-time faculty positions do not exceed 67% of a full-time faculty member’s load.
Salary Range:
Head coach starting salary range is $26,462 to $29,913 annually depending on head coaching experience with possibility to reach $33,365 with time s recruitment includes two head coach positions one for Women’s Soccer and one for Men’s Soccer.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
After review, suitable applicants will be invited by phone or email on or around Thursday, February 19, 2026 to participate in a skills assessment. Successful candidates will then be interviewed by a committee of approximately 5 individuals; these interviews are tentatively scheduled for March 4, 2026

Description REPRESENTATIVE DUTIESUnder the direction of the Dean of Instruction, teach assigned courses in the Athletics discipline’s curriculum and coach soccer.
Program Leadership and Coaching- Provide leadership and direction for a competitive and educationally sound intercollegiate soccer program.
- Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices, training sessions, conditioning activities, and team meetings.
- Coach and manage the team during scheduled competitions; prepare student-athletes to perform with skill, discipline, sportsmanship, and respect for the game.
- Foster a positive learning environment that supports the holistic development of student-athletes.
- Ensure full compliance with CCCAA Constitution and Bylaws, conference rules, recruiting regulations, and District policies.
- Monitor and support student-athlete eligibility, academic progress, and conduct in collaboration with athletics classified professionals and campus partners.
- Maintain accurate and timely program records as required by governing bodies and the District.
- Recruit qualified prospective student-athletes in accordance with CCCAA, conference, and District rules.
- Coordinate campus visits and communication with prospective student-athletes and families.
- Assist with onboarding, matriculation, and retention of new and returning student-athletes.
- Support the academic success, persistence, and personal development of student-athletes.
- Encourage and assist student-athletes in preparing for transfer to four-year institutions and continued participation in athletics, where appropriate.
- Serve as a mentor and role model, emphasizing accountability, integrity, and responsibility.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the soccer program budget in coordination with the Athletic Director.
- Coordinate equipment needs, uniforms, and supplies; oversee inventory and expenditures.
- Assist with scheduling, team travel planning, and logistical coordination for practices and competitions.
- Promote a safe and healthy environment for student-athletes.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Trainer (ATC) regarding injury prevention, treatment, and return-to-play protocols.
- Ensure safe conduct of practices, competitions, and team-related activities.
