The Transportation Supervisor oversees the shuttle operations of our airport location, under the direction of the Transportation Operations Manager, Airports to provide effective, efficient and safe transportation, loading and unloading passengers & employees to and from the airport terminals, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.
Base pay range$22.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Principal Job Duties- Complete daily shift logs, end of day shift report, shuttle out of service logs and provide relevant reports to team members as instructed.
- Ensure DVIR’s are completed adequately.
- Check schedule for call-offs and make any changes to provide proper coverage.
- Oversee shuttle operations at Lots: A, B, C, D, E, and terminals.
- Assist in the supervision of dispatch and shuttle drivers and routes.
- Answer procedural questions for all drivers under your supervision.
- Ensure all employees are following the company uniform policy and grooming guidelines.
- Stay abreast of all procedural changes and memos.
- Monitor shuttle routes and flow of traffic.
- Assist customers with questions, concerns, complaints, comments and directions.
- Make necessary notifications of any service issues to the TOM.
- Complete incident reports as needed to document damage, theft or personal injury claims. This includes accident reports and workers compensation claims as well.
- Knowledge and ability to perform shuttle driving in an emergency.
- Look for damage or other problems in or around the facility and take appropriate action.
- Fill out daily location inspections, shift reporting and facility maintenance requests when needed.
- Email upper management on any concerns or problems encountered during shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Possess and exhibit a “People First” – “How can I help” attitude.
- Some college preferred.
- Minimum of one year supervisory/management experience at the next lower level is preferred.
- Proven organizational skills to include computer literacy, leadership, communication, teambuilding, employee engagement, and proven ability to understand and apply policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in the ability to deal appropriately with employee disciplinary processes.
- Strong customer service skills and abilities.
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Ability to work in the environment, snow, rain, heat, etc.
- Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
