Heavy and Tractor-trailer Truck Drivers

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in Soc Code 53-3032 Heavy Tractor and Trailer Truck Drive for delivering grain to elevators such as:
Drive semi-trailer combination to deliver grain to market ports;
Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure;
Maneuver into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned;
Drive to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations;
Plan or adjust routes based on changing winter conditions such as ice, sleet, snow;
Perform safety checks and inspections as well as related repairs;
Load and unload grain trucks. The worker is required to be able to speak and understand English.

Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols.

Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
