Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑time Warehouse Associate for its distribution facility in Hazelwood, Missouri.

• Hourly Pay: $18.77 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working second shift
• Second Shift
  
  Schedule:
  
  1:30 pm – 12:30 am, four 10‑hour days between Monday and Friday
• Shift includes working Monday; off one day Tuesday–Friday and Saturday/Sunday

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Six months of related warehouse experience (required)
• One year or more of related warehouse experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of powered industrial truck operation and maintenance (intermediate required)
• Experience with manual or automated warehouse equipment, such as packaging lines (intermediate preferred)
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English; understand safety and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Proficiency in data entry into the WMS computer system(s)
• Flexibility to work overtime as assigned
• Strong interpersonal skills—able to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability in a fast‑paced environment; multi‑tasking and excellent time‑management skills
• Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle record checks, a road test, and/or customer background and badging requirements.

• Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure accurate scanning; train dock employees on new procedures; secure facility at shift end.
• Investigate and resolve scanning issues and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Perform picking, packing, and product damage checks according to policies and procedures.
• Execute material moves based on associated physical and logical transactions.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations and business functions.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
