Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑time Warehouse Associate for its distribution facility in Hazelwood, Missouri.
Pay and Schedules- Hourly Pay: $18.77 per hour
- Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working second shift
- Second Shift
Schedule:
1:30 pm – 12:30 am, four 10‑hour days between Monday and Friday - Shift includes working Monday; off one day Tuesday–Friday and Saturday/Sunday

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Six months of related warehouse experience (required)
- One year or more of related warehouse experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of powered industrial truck operation and maintenance (intermediate required)
- Experience with manual or automated warehouse equipment, such as packaging lines (intermediate preferred)
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English; understand safety and work instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Proficiency in data entry into the WMS computer system(s)
- Flexibility to work overtime as assigned
- Strong interpersonal skills—able to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability in a fast‑paced environment; multi‑tasking and excellent time‑management skills
- Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle record checks, a road test, and/or customer background and badging requirements.
Responsibilities- Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure accurate scanning; train dock employees on new procedures; secure facility at shift end.
- Investigate and resolve scanning issues and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Perform picking, packing, and product damage checks according to policies and procedures.
- Execute material moves based on associated physical and logical transactions.
- Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations and business functions.
- Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
