About the roleThe Fulfillment Clerk Level I is responsible for performing essential distribution center tasks related to order processing, inventory management, quality control, and shipping documentation. This position ensures accurate, timely, and efficient fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to company standards.
What you'll do- Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all orders are processed according to company standards, packaging guidelines, and customer specifications.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in order fulfillment to minimize shipping errors and order discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels within assigned areas of the distribution center.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to support inventory accuracy and reconcile stock variances.
- Collaborate with the inventory control team to address discrepancies and maintain optimal stock levels for order fulfillment.
- Perform quality checks on all products prior to packing, ensuring items meet company quality standards and order requirements.
- Identify, document, and report any product quality, packaging, or labeling issues to the appropriate supervisor for resolution.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records of order picks, shipments, inventory movements, and inventory counts.
- Generate and attach appropriate shipping labels, packing slips, and any other necessary shipping documentation to outgoing orders.

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, pick lists, and packing slips.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.
- Experience with shipping systems (e.g., UPS, Fed Ex, or LTL freight platforms).
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of boxes and products up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands and arms for picking, packing, and labeling tasks.
- Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures.
