IT Support, Systems Administrator
Job Summary
The Internal IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintaining internal IT systems, and assisting with infrastructure and security initiatives. This role requires hands‑on experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, as well as a working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2.
Responsibilities and Duties- Provide technical support to internal users across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support Microsoft 365 administration, including user setup, license management, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with network and server maintenance, including patching, monitoring, and backups.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate documentation of systems and configurations.
- Participate in internal audits and support SOC 2 compliance efforts by following and documenting IT policies and procedures.
- Identify and elevate security risks or non‑compliant practices.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager on projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support or technician role.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 compliance requirements and IT security best practices.
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with endpoint management tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure.
