Location: Mitchell, SD Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: 2nd SHIFT 2PM-10PM Monday to Friday
About the RoleAs an HHP Assembler, you’ll locate, retrieve, and assemble parts to build large, complex units using work orders and 3D computer models. You’ll move completed units with motorized cranes and forklifts, prepare them for shipping, and ensure every assembly meets AKG and industry quality standards.
Como Ensamblador HHP, localizará, recogerá y ensamblará piezas para construir unidades grandes y complejas siguiendo órdenes de trabajo y modelos 3D. Movilizará las unidades terminadas con grúas motorizadas y montacargas, las preparará para envío y garantizará que cada ensamblaje cumpla con los estándares de calidad de AKG y de la industria.
Requirements- Has at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 1 year of assembly experience strongly preferred.
- Can read and follow detailed blueprints, work instructions, and 3D computer models.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable working with steel parts, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves, and shafts.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, using motorized cranes, and performing repetitive movements safely.
- Pays strong attention to detail and produces high-quality, precise work.
- Can reliably comply with scheduled shift and all safety policies and procedures.
- Enjoys working in a team environment and has initiative to report problems or improve processes.
- Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and 3D models.
- Inspect parts such as steel components, fans, bearings, bushings, sheaves, and shafts; make minor adjustments as needed.
- Locate and retrieve parts required for assembly.
- Move assemblies safely using motorized cranes or forklifts.
- Assemble components accurately following blueprints and 3D models.
- Document completed assemblies according to AKG and industry standards.
- Meet production quotas set by Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Build and maintain knowledge of parts and assembly procedures.
- Report issues to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all AKG policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
- Walk 30% of the time and stand 70% of the time; bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, twisting, and turning as needed.
- Lift up to 50 lbs (20% of the time).
- Use motorized cranes, ladders, scaffolding, power tools, and basic mechanic tools safely.
- Wear safety gear including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and bump caps (provided).
