MATERIAL HANDLER 2nd SHIFT / MANEJADOR DE MATERIALES-MONTACARGAS 2nd TURNO

Location:

Mitchell, SD
. Shift: 2PM–10PM, Monday–Friday.

As a Material Handler, you’ll support the flow of materials across the plant by unloading shipments, documenting and sorting incoming parts, keeping inventory updated, and preparing weekly outbound shipments for Midwest distribution.

• Receive materials, review packing slips, and maintain accurate records.
• Unload incoming trucks, sort parts, and place materials on the welding line.
• Prepare and load weekly Midwest shipments; confirm customer shipping and delivery reports.
• Use SAP to locate, retrieve, and track inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and notify Purchasing when materials need replenishment.
• Assist other Material Handlers as needed.
• Report issues to the Supervisor immediately.
• Follow all environmental, safety, and company policies.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; receiving experience is a plus.
• Forklift‑certified and confident operating material‑handling equipment.
• Comfortable using computers and able to learn SAP to locate and track parts.
• Organized, able to juggle multiple tasks—unloading trucks, sorting materials, and pulling inventory.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Clean driving record to operate the company truck when needed.

• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to read, write, and understand work orders and blueprints.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Forklift operation (certification required).
• Ability to organize receiving paperwork and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Sit 25% of the time and walk 75%; bending, twisting, and lifting required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Use chain hoists, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
• Wear required PPE: steel‑toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection.
