Days, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; call required, including one weekend a month and one to two nights a week.

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN works with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies, and procedures of the Hospital and the Surgical Department.

• Ensure supplies and timeliness of cases.
• Communicate with families.
• Update physician preference cards.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases.

• 5+ years of experience required.
• Pre-op, PACU, and OR Scrub/Circulator experience required.
