Corporate Accountant

Location: Mobile, Alabama (primarily in-office with some flexibility)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join a long-standing organization with deep roots in the Mobile community. This company operates across multiple industries and offers exceptional stability, low turnover, and opportunities for long-term career growth.

• Support monthly close processes, including preparing journal entries, performing analytical reviews, and reconciling balance sheet accounts
• Collaborate with operations teams to provide financial insights that aid business decisions
• Manage AR follow-up, cash tracking, wire transfers, and cash balance projections for assigned divisions
• Assist with internal controls by reviewing invoices and approvals
• Serve as backup for select centralized accounting functions
• Participate in special projects and adapt to evolving responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 3-5 years of relevant experience
• CPA or Master’s degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Oracle is a plus
• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
