We have an immediate opening for a Sales Assistant. The role supports the radio advertising sales team, providing administrative assistance to sales reps and managers. The ideal candidate is outgoing, flexible, proactive, supportive, productive, friendly, and loves radio.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a liaison between the sales team, clients, and other inter‑company departments.
- Organize and input new and revised orders; assist in creating sales proposals and digital campaigns; provide customer care to eliminate problems and grow the business.
- Assist Account Executives with orders and traffic.
- Prepare and assemble reports and presentations.
- Research materials using Tapscan, Media Monitors, Scarborough, etc.
- Keep sales materials/media kits up to date.
- Serve as backup for Account Executives, inputting traffic instructions into Vcreative.
- Serve as backup for Receptionist.
- Attend national promotions when required.
- Answer phones, type correspondence, and schedule appointments.
- Maintain account, mailing, and employee lists.
- Support clients by providing documents, forms, and other paperwork for seamless execution of media buys.
- Assist Traffic Managers by gathering copy and traffic, solving clearance issues.
- Work on highly time‑sensitive projects, adhering to deadlines.
- Manage multiple project requests simultaneously with quick turnaround.
- Enter national orders and commercial copy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or Market Manager.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, advertising, and/or promotions preferable.
- Extensive computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), image manipulation, social media, and quick adaptation to proprietary systems.
- Background in radio station continuity or sales is helpful.
- Self‑starter, detail oriented, organized, excellent written and oral communication, strong multitasking.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and team‑player attitude.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently without immediate direction.
- Comfortable interacting with management and staff at all levels.
