Overview
The Construction Manager will represent Power Secure at the project site, oversee all construction activities, manage subcontractors, and interface with the customer, utility, and local AHJ’s. The role ensures DI equipment is installed safely, on time, on budget, and within project specifications.
- High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in construction; energy industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of construction management, financials, and construction processes.
- Experience working with General Contractors, subcontractors, customers, engineers, utilities, and AHJ’s.
- Ability to identify and manage priorities with urgency while maintaining high quality and customer service.
- Proficient with computer and standard office software and construction management software.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, product data submittals, and site specifications.
- Must be punctual, organized, and professional.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to lead and conduct meetings in various formats.
- Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.
- Coordinate and administer daily safety briefs with contractors and company employees to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate and lead project meetings with customer, utility, subcontractors, and other parties.
- Fundamentally understand the financials of a project and be able to create and issue Purchase Orders.
- Ensure project sites are always left in a tidy manner and follow housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Properly coordinate with respective parties for timely execution of the project schedule.
- Properly communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed safely, timely, and on budget.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in various positions including low to the ground or on a ladder.
- Must be able to stand or walk for 3–4 hours at a time.
- Travel required (70%+); must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary.
- Environment may consist of exposure to weather, noise, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards (crane & rigging), and heavy machinery.
