WhatYou’ll Do
As a home care hospice physician, you will provide compassionate, high‑quality care to patients in inpatient units (IPU) in hospitals, nursing facilities, or hospice houses. You will build meaningful relationships, create patient‑centered care plans, advocate for patient wishes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (social workers, chaplains, nurses), and educate patients, caregivers, and communities on the benefits of dignified end‑of‑life care.
WHERE YOU’LL WORKYou will mainly care for hospice patients admitted to an IPU where round‑the‑clock care is needed. Once a week you’ll participate in formal team meetings to discuss cases and coordinate holistic support.
What’s Expected From You- Licensed to practice in the state of operation and in good standing at the hospital(s) where you provide care.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in hospice and palliative medicine, internal medicine, family practice, or a related specialty.
- Registered with the DEA.
- Demonstrate commitment, compassion, and a can‑do attitude, keeping patient welfare at the center of everything.
