Hospitalist Physician

Role: Hospitalist in a hospital setting providing inpatient care on the Gulf Coast.

• Manage patient admissions, with NPs handling the majority of admits.
• Provide inpatient clinical care with a focus on patient satisfaction and length of stay.
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities.
• Work in an open ICU with pulmonary intensivists as primary caregivers.
• Maintain clinical autonomy within a financially sound health system.

• 18 shifts per month, with varied shifts including afternoons and overnight.
• Compensation includes a $305 daily base, $25K bi-annual bonus based on performance, a $15K sign-on, and $10K moving expenses.
• No PTO offered; typical patient load of 20-22 per shift.

• Prefer Internal Medicine background;
  Family Medicine accepted with hospitalist experience.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.
• Proficiency in EMR (Cerner) is preferred.
