ACCEL teachers work as a team to close the achievement gap for all students in the school. Teachers use cutting-edge technology to effectively differentiate lessons to meet the unique needs of learners. They use instructional groupings to ensure students are receiving the right content at the right time. Next Generation learning is a critical component of the instructional model, and ACCEL Academy faculty and staff will support one another through training, feedback, and collaboration to embrace the use of 21st century teaching methods to reach their students.

• Teach five 60-minute class periods of students.
• Provide small group and one-on-one targeted intervention and support to students during station rotation within the class periods.
• Participate in regular interim data meetings with team teachers and principal.
• Engage in 4 administrative observations and growth plan meetings per year.
• Actively participate in 2 hours per week of targeted professional development.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Set and maintain consistent and high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Keep an accurate record of student performance.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of students' records.
• Engage in weekly coaching meetings

• Bachelor's degree
• Two or more years of teaching experience as a classroom teacher (preferred, not required)
• Alabama State Educator Certification (preferred, not required)
• Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students

Hours:

7:00AM - 3:00PM daily, with the student academic day running 7:30AM to 2:30PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30AM to 12:00PM on Friday. There is an option to teach in the evening program for additional compensation (up to 10 hours per week).

Salary:
Salary range as per State Salary Matrix, depending on degree and experience. Bachelor’s beginning pay - $41,690 for 187 days. Additional bonuses may be available pending job performance and funding.
