Job Description
Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Flight line Mechanic to join our Manufacturing department based in Mobile, AL.
The Flight line Mechanic is responsible for performing Functional Test Procedure, Pre & Post Flight inspection to prepare built aircraft for test flight and delivery readiness. This would include troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting aircraft systems using approved aircraft data. The Flight line Mechanic would proficiently operate and understand a wide variety of test equipment and tooling. The Mechanic must have the ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings and engineering data to support tasks.

- Troubleshoot malfunctions, rigs, repairs, replacement aircraft structures, components and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty.
- Maintain and rework Aircraft Components including but not limited to landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti‑icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and ventilation.
- Servicing, repair cabin interior components.
- Prepare documentation in accordance with company procedure.
- Perform day to day aircraft maintenance.
- Experience with Refuel/Defuel, Aircraft Jack and Tow.
- 3 years minimum aviation experience, preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO environment.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant License.
- Valid Driver License.
- Must be willing to work a rotation shift schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport which allows unrestricted travel to Canada.
- High School Diploma.
- Vocational/Tech School Credential.
Vision: able to see and utilize computer screens; able to move through office and from point to point to find specific co‑workers and in‑house experts.
Hearing: able to hear in normal conversations and respond to warnings and signals.
Speaking: able to participate in normal business conversations.
Equipment Operation:
Able to operate standard office equipment, ground support equipment, and man lifts.
Carrying:
Able to carry up to 40 lbs. /18kg.
Lifting:
Able to lift up to 40 lbs. /18kg on occasion.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push / pull up to 500 lbs on wheels.
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time.
Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat / kneel.
