Overview
Electrical Maintenance Specialist
(Mobile; also can be Chattanooga or maybe Charleston, SC)
A multi-site chemical/manufacturing/distribution company needs an electrical specialist to work with electrical power systems maintenance/reliability and troubleshooting at their operation in Port Arthur as well as assist other operation regionally.
Travel - approximately 40% to area plants
Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance/reliability solutions for power/distribution at the facilities.
- Work with medium to high-voltage systems at several plants in a region (30% or more travel depending on location – email to ask me)
- Work independently at site, including knowing when to request
- Work with all aspects of developing, implementing maintenance and reliability programs:
- Power distribution, substations, transformers, etc, from 138
Kv on down - The “usual” breakers, switch gear, relay systems, battery/UPS
- Work with massive 15kv motors up to 20,000hp+, compressors, pumps, etc.
- Reliability programs – oil analysis, IR thermography, discharge and power analysis, etc
- Root cause analysis and corrective action plans
- Assist with shutdown (aka turnaound) planning and electrical work
- Extensive experience with 13.8kv; up to 138kv useful but not required for consideration
- Journeyman license is handy.
- At least 5 years of experience electrical maint/reliability industrial setting
- Required:
a lot of current experience in heavy industry, power, chemical, etc, plants.
Salary:
At/over $100,000/yr plus overtime
