AutoCAD 3D Civil Designer

Talascend is currently seeking a Civil Designerwith AutoCAD Civil 3D experience for a long-term career opportunity with our client based in Mobile, Alabama.

Overview

The CAD Designer/Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents to support civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Assist engineers with the preparation of design layouts, construction documents, and technical exhibits
• Maintain drawing files, project documentation, and CAD standards to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Translates conceptual designs, sketches, and redlines into final construction-ready and preliminary drawings
• Coordinate drawing production with engineers and project teams
• Prepare plan sets including site grading, utility layouts, roadway alignments, and profiles
• Assist with submission packages for permitting and client approvals

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or CAD Drafting preferred; equivalent experience in land development engineering and drafting will also be considered
• 1–3 years of drafting experience in a civil engineering, surveying, or construction environment

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)
• Familiarity with civil engineering design concepts such as grading, utilities, and drainage
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
