As a Senior Engineer - Cabin Stress, you will support the development of aircraft cabin interior structures as a stress analyst. Duties include performing analyses for metallic or composite cabin interior structures to ensure compliance to company requirements and regulatory standards. Methods include the use of both classical hand calculations and computer techniques to develop high strength to weight ratio structures.

Your working environment:The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.

Autonomously perform routine to moderate detailed stress analysis of cabin or cargo components, by classical hand analysis as well as Finite Element methods, to support the structural design efforts of new and modified components from the conceptual phase to development and certification.
Perform review of supplier stress substantiation reports to ensure compliance to aircraft design requirements
Coordinate with design engineers, suppliers and technical leads to assure that the design meets the project deliverables timeline by providing analysis to support releases.
Create and deliver technical documents and presentations with limited direction.
Accept broad objectives with agreed deadlines, but establish the tasks required and how they should be completed. Capable of working independently.
Effectively communicates issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work internally and externally.
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural and/or systems design and installation.
Minimum seven (7) years total experience in design and analysis with cabin and cargo and/or system installation projects.
Frequently uses widely known technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve technical problems.
Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collectively.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures and bill of material systems to develop project plans.
Basic knowledge of Regulatory Requirements pertaining to aircraft design, certification and maintenance.
Experience in using Google Suite is an asset.

Onsite 60% / Remote 40%Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
