Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) is looking for a Flight line Avionics Technician to join our final phase team in Mobile, AL.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. - Perform aircraft system Functional Test Procedure (FTP) / Pre/Post-flight Daily Inspection (DI) checklist and prepare built aircraft for test flight readiness.
- Learn new tasks and techniques to troubleshoot aircraft systems and support flight line operation at Airbus FAL Mobile Flight line Organization.
- Perform and follow level 1 troubleshooting procedures, documenting findings precisely per instruction.
- Conduct integrated systems testing, calibration, alignment, troubleshooting and repair of airborne electronic flight control, navigational and heating systems.
- Perform pre-test, operational or final testing of electronic systems, components or subassemblies.
- Perform final tuning, alignment or calibration of electronic systems, components or subassemblies.
- Troubleshoot electronic systems, components or subassemblies to determine nature of malfunction and corrective action required.
- Perform post-dock maintenance daily checklist, safety and security checks, incoming inspection, planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance family.
- Pre-induction first flight configuration / incoming inspection of cabin interior, cockpit, electronic bays to ensure safety and security before first flight.
- Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
- Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, or volt meters.
- Verify and upgrade to the latest version of aircraft avionic software.
- Work closely with the systems engineer to interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
- Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person regarding schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies, tools, and special instructions.
- Support and train other aircraft technicians with technical knowledge and skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical/Mechanical theory and thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators, micrometers, powered/non-powered support equipment.
- Experience with applied science in avionics, A&P or FCC license (≥3 years).
- Ability to obtain a Repairman Certificate.
- Valid driver license.
- Must be willing to work rotation shift schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport allowing unrestricted travel.
