- Operation and administration of a storeroom.
- Receiving, recording, storing, and issuing a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies, including those of a specialized nature.
- Maintaining records and accountability for store items.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment.
- Recommending the purchase of equipment and supplies.
- Checking incoming materials for quantity and quality against invoices or purchase orders, reporting discrepancies to a supervisor.
- Issuing supplies on approved requisitions.
- Preparing and maintaining a perpetual inventory system for all storeroom and laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Participating in the care and maintenance of storeroom and supplies and equipment.
- Assembling, packing, and arranging for transport of all stored goods and materials.
- Regular and prompt attendance, able to work the schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Performing related duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent and two years of clerical experience, one of which must have been in receiving, storing, shipping, and issuing stores and/or laboratory items. Specified positions may require possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage under the University of South Alabama.
