Overview

Bay View Professional Associates help individuals and families dealing with emotional or psychological issues that interfere with their ability to function in their day-to-day living. Our professional clinicians assess our patients’ concerns and then determine the appropriate treatment or referral. The Bayview Therapist utilizes best practice clinical interventions to address both mental health and substance abuse problems. Through various psychotherapeutic strategies the clinician and the client engage to provide relief from their presenting symptoms.

• Performs psychological evaluations under the supervision of a Ph.D Psychologist
• Reviews referrals for psychological testing determining appropriateness for this services
• Determines appropriate testing instruments
• Applies tests according to professional standards
• Makes accurate interpretation based on test data
• Analyzes and integrates all testing data into a summary indicating all aspects of consumers’ functioning
• Addresses the problems, questions and issues identified by the referring source
• Utilizes data analysis to generate practical recommendations to the referral source
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize the elements of a crisis state and knows how to deescalate or resolve the situation
• Effectively collaborates with the treatment team members and outside sources in the delivery of psychological assessment services
• Adheres to professional code of ethics
• Effectively demonstrates the application of child/adolescent specific competencies

Master’s degree in psychology with licensure and/or certification that grants eligibility to provide standardized psychodiagnostic testing.
