Director of Infection Prevention & Control​/Health

Position Overview

The Director will be responsible for planning, directing, and executing the hospital's infection control program to prevent and minimize healthcare related infections. The Director is also responsible for managing Employee Health relations. This includes new hire clearances and making sure current employees are compliant with hospital regulations.

• We are a drug free facility.
  Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

• Associate's degree required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have previous experience in Infection Prevention & Control.

• Work experience of one year in Infection Prevention and Control.
• Maintain Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
• Maintain membership of Association of Professional Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC).
• Must possess thorough knowledge of prevailing Infection Prevention & Control policies in the hospital and strong background familiarity with agents and infectious disease.
• Must have sound knowledge of hospital practices and institutional environmental hazards.
• Provide administrative leadership and direction to all nursing personnel and maintain the operational aspects of the unit in collaboration with ancillary departments.
• Ability to engage in logical, critical thinking to solve problems.
