The Senior Manager of Network Planning will lead the strategic planning, design, and optimization of Fidium Fiber's next-generation fiber‑optic infrastructure. This role is critical in driving the expansion and performance of our network, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with deep technical expertise in fiber network architecture and a strong track record of managing cross‑functional planning initiatives.
Responsibilities- Strategic Network Planning: Develop and execute long‑term fiber network strategies, including greenfield and brownfield deployments, to support growth and service quality objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network planners and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Design Oversight: Oversee high‑level and detailed network designs, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and cost‑efficiency targets.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Partner with construction, engineering, operations, finance, and regulatory teams to align network plans with project timelines, budgets, and business priorities. - Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform planning decisions and maintain Fidium's competitive edge.
- Data‑Driven Decision Making: Utilize GIS, network modeling tools, and market data to identify optimal build areas, forecast demand, and prioritize investments.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery of planning components.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to executive leadership on planning progress, risks, and opportunities. Prepare business cases and capital investment proposals.
- Five to ten years of experience in fiber network design
- History of critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration between internal and external strategic partners.

Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $95,493 - $144,602
