What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling calendar hearings, managing case files, and logistics
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes while organizing exhibits and legal documents
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings and contracts
  • Collect and organize evidence and legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
  • Manage client billing by preparing and resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal
  • Applicable knowledge of litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures
  • Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to type no less than 35 wpm
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, or related practice areas
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Familiarity with calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
